Projects

  • Simulated a DNS spoofing attack using Oracle VM VirtualBox to manipulate DNS responses and redirect a victim to a malicious site. Used Ettercap for ARP poisoning and DNS spoofing, combined with a fake phishing page hosted on an Apache2 server.
  • Analyzed Proof-of-Concept (PoC) malware behavior in a controlled environment using Sysinternals Suite (Process Explorer, Procmon, Autoruns). Tracked process execution, registry changes, and network activity to identify attack patterns and system modifications.
  • Implemented the RC4 stream cipher in C++ and simulated the FMS attack to recover the first byte of a WEP key. By generating multiple Initialization Vectors (IVs) and analyzing keystream biases, I identified the most probable key byte using frequency analysis. This project demonstrated the vulnerabilities of WEP encryption.
  • Implemented the Diffie-Hellman key exchange protocol in C++ and simulated a Man-In-The-Middle attack to intercept and alter key exchanges between two parties. By injecting intermediary values, I demonstrated how an attacker can establish separate shared keys with each party. Additionally, I implemented the Station-to-Station (STS) protocol , integrating RSA-based digital signatures to authenticate the exchanged keys and prevent MITM attacks.
