- As the Consulting Leader for Deloitte in East Africa, the role entailed leading a team of Consulting professionals split across Four service offerings, Human Capital advisory, Strategy & Operations, Technology consulting and Donor fund program management
- I was responsible for the entire P&L of Consulting across four operating countries (Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda and Tanzania) with Rwanda covered remotely
- Extensive experience in Strategy, Human Capital and digital technology, as well as large scale program management
- With a Tech background, Amaha also led digital for Deloitte East Africa for a number of years
- As the consulting leader, the core focus ensured the consulting team focused on the right accounts providing value-adding services to generate the required P&L
- The role also focused on building a high performing team backed by a performance culture, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Increased team productivity by streamlining communication and implementing effective project management strategies.
- The role also demanded general management (finance, operation and ensuring adoption of policy and procedures
- I also bring significant regional experience and has delivered numerous engagements for a number of our top clients on the continent

- With Donor fund management and Program management being one of our large business units in Consulting, I was also responsible in ensuring the right policies and procedures were in place in managing $100m+ funding from the likes of the USAID and Mastercard foundation
- I ensured the programs had the proper project governance, risk management framework as well as structured financial management to ensure money was being spent on project

- As a Consulting Partner, I was responsible for my own P&L, as well as managing a numbers of clients of the firm across East Africa
- In 2010, I led a team of professionals that performed the first asset valuation and asset count for Ethio Telecom. I also led a team two years prior, that reviewed the Organization design developing over 360 Job positions and descriptions, as well as grading these posts for Ethio Telecom.
- My other key clients included the top 5-6 financial institutions in each country across East Africa, with banks like KCB, Equity, NCBA, NMB, CRDB, Stanbic UG, TDB, Dashen, Hibret, etc..
- I led multiple types of engagements in the areas of Operational effectiveness, Digital strategy and transformation, Risk analysis, Program office setup and delivery, Digital strategy and roll out for some of the largest digital banking engagements in East Africa, etc..
- In Ethiopia, I led the Project from EY that oversaw the National bank RTGS project connecting over 15 banks, for the first instant money transfer project across the banking ecosystem
