Intellectual Property Specialist
- Communicate with clients on a daily basis, delivering clear and accessible updates and responding to inquiries with well-researched advice based on current intellectual property trends.
- Manage the filing of assignments, name and address changes across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., United Kingdom, France, Luxembourg, WIPO, EUIPO, EPO, Germany, Spain, Sweden) for trademarks, patents, and designs.
- Draft and review Assignment Deeds, Powers of Attorney, Declarations of Consent to ensure compliance with local legal requirements and mitigate potential objections by cross-referencing the documents against the latest regulations and requirements for each jurisdiction.
- Respond to office actions from intellectual property offices by assessing refusal grounds, preparing arguments and compiling the required information to overcome objections, leading to successful filings.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in client billing.
- Engage with agents across various jurisdictions to submit recordal applications for trademarks, patents, and designs, guaranteeing alignment with clients' requirements and offering customized, economical strategies to protect and uphold intellectual property rights.
- Received positive feedback from clients for handling urgent queries in a timely manner and expediting the filing process, resulting in improved client satisfaction.
- Utilize various software, including docketing systems (Diams IQ), for efficient data management, deadline tracking and generating client-accessible reports.
