- We use IBM Datastage 11.7 as an ETL tool in order to load the data into data warehouse. We load history data (SCD2).
- We transform the data according to specifications given by our Business Analysts, we create test cases and queries, we test the load, take care of documenting the process, deploy it with Azure Pipelines to all environments ( D/T/A/P) and then we are also in charge of monitoring the run part every day (we use Stonebranch Universal Automation Center).
- Some of the requirements also need a dashboard/report using Cognos Analytics.
- I am in charge of developing new business requirements.
- Some could mean onboarding new data into our Data Lake, meaning new files, and create the ETL process according to specifications, or to create ETL process for already existing data in the database, but regulatory request need a different model of data and more complex logic and joins might be needed. We use a custom model for that, in order to be aligned with the global way of working and alignment on what a certain business term means across ING.
- Besides my role as an engineer, I am also taking care of coaching colleagues and onboarding sessions for new joiners.
- I am a facilitator in some Obeya Agile sessions, and I am also a Risk and compliance SPOC.
- I take care of audit and risk requirements with more deep dive into roles and access on the data we provide.
