I was part of a special team created with the goal to facilitate the transition from Enel to PPC with the implication of all business lines: Power Supply, Power Generation, Grids and deep dive transformation on a department string.
The Project Management Office(PMO) had just 12 months to accomplish this task and the results were a premier and a huge challenge for most of us:
- more than 60 core IT systems were migrated from Enel to PPC infrastructure- 25 Systems( core & non-core ) were replaced
- Historical data were identified and transferred from Enel to PPC for more than 30 systems- digital systems(Websites, CRM, billing systems) & physical items(stores, buildings logos, cars, uniforms, badges, etc.) were rebranded in a tight deadline;
- countless meetings, mix of professionals from Enel, PPC Greece & Romania, partners consultants led to a successful project finished before the schedule.
This project was the statement that when you combine hard work, dedication, great teams you can only get high achievement.

Forecast

- Trading on Day Ahead and Intraday Market according to the daily consumption forecast;
- Trading on long term markets: PCCB-LE, PCCB-NC, PC-OTC;

Contracts management
- Preparing and management of all the energy and green certificates contracts;

- Negotiation and contract management with small renewable producers;
- Monitoring the energy production in terms of forecast vs actual production;
Reporting
- Monthly energy reporting to ANRE;
- Quarterly/annual green certificates reporting to ANRE;
- Offering support for Key Account Managers and internal reporting on a weekly basis;
- Preparing and offering responses to all requests from Opcom, ANRE;
- Offering support for internal/external Audit;

"I had the pleasure of working closely with Alex as part of a specialized Project Management Office (PMO) team, an internal “black ops” unit that was responsible for leading the transition from Enel to PPC in Romania. This project focused on digital transformation and rebranding and had a clear, tight timeline of just 12 months.
This was one of the biggest organizational projects for PPC in 2023: we successfully migrated 62 IT systems from Enel's global IT infrastructure to PPC Romania's brand-new infrastructure (built also in 2023, in just 6 months), replaced 25 more, and rebranded over 1,000 physical assets and more than 200 digital platforms within just six months. Within this project there were involved over 600 professionals from PPC Romania, PPC Greece, Enel, and multiple external partners.
Within this context, Alex played an important role in the PMO team, taking leadership and ownership over several streams of the project and always being proactive with the tasks we had to manage. What stood out most for me personally was his ability to adapt quickly to a brand-new, fast-paced, high pressured environment and type of role, managing to navigate easily through different kind of categories of tasks and difficult situations. He really was one of the drivers of the team, always trying to understand how he can bring value and, in the end, managed to deliver his streams on time.
It was a pleasure to work with Alex in that context and to discover how meticulous he can be with his work, always focusing on solving situations, but also to see how he tried to impact the team from a chemistry point of view. One of the big reasons why we managed to deliver that project on time, budget and target was because Alex was a part of it.
So, given the above, I highly recommend Alex and I think he can be a brilliant asset for any team or company.
