  • Analyzed, isolated and solved complex fault issues as well as lead corrective actions on the following platforms: GGSN, SGSN, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, DNS, Load Balancers and Linux servers(CentOS/Ubuntu) from the following vendors: Huawei, Cisco, Juniper, Check Point and F5.
  • Brought continuous improvements to the network by using advanced knowledge of troubleshooting, configuration and problem-solving for Vodafone Romania and Vodafone Netherlands mobile networks.
  • Offered ongoing support for the entire network by solving any issue that came up, and when needed, escalating to specific vendor's support department (TAC) and provided assistance in replicating bugs and network topologies for a faster resolution and root cause analysis.

Achievements:

  • I was in charge of the full handover from Vodafone Netherlands(approximately 5M users) to Vodafone Romania NOC, for the Back Office IP and Packet Switch part, from operational point of view and support handover for existing and new services.
  • Improved remote testing solution(using SIGOS platform) for the entire Vodafone Group: defined, automated and reported test cases for roaming scenarios that covered missed user scenarios.
  • Improved the night activities processes, which saved approximately 4 hours of night work per head count.
  • During this time I've developed a solid knowledge of GSM networks in general with main focus on the core Packet Switched and IP core elements.
