I was part of a '3 Amigos' way of working: each team consisting of a tester, a developer and a Business Analyst and each team had a feature to work on.
My responsibilities included:
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings to discuss progress and prioritize tasks;
• Review requirements and user stories in Jira to understand testing scope
• Performing manual testing activities like writing test plans, test cases, reporting defects, test progress.
• Smoke testing - to check if the new builds are ready for the next testing phase;
• Monitoring and analyzing logs within Mirantis Kubernetes clusters to efficiently identify and remediate errors;
• Utilized SQL to analyze and interpret data, contributing to informed decision-making within project teams.
• Create and organize test cases, test plans, and test sets in Xray;
• Utilize Postman for API testing, validating endpoints, requests, and responses;
• Collaborate with team members by branching, merging, and resolving conflicts in Git;
• Development and implementation of automated tests for some web components.
• The main goal was to learn about testing methodologies: smoke testing, regression testing, sanity testing,
black box etc;
• Covered topics: Java Script, Git, Linux Basics, Apache Maven, basic testing with Selenium, Agile methodology, Jira, Postman
