Multi-lingual, passionate teacher with a multi-cultural background, having lived in seven countries, and a citizen of Greece and the United States. I have experience developing and implementing diverse curricula covering wide range of subjects. Highly skilled at motivating students through positive encouragement and reinforcement of concepts via interactive classroom instruction and observation. Successful in helping students develop strong literacy, numeracy, social and learning skills that extend beyond the walls of the classroom. My greatest mission is twofold: to make every child or adult feel at ease, understood, included, relevant and of value, due to my international background and interest in that of every student - and to make learning be a joyful experience through hands

I am an avid learner of foreign languages and with dedication, practice and diversification of methods, have learned to be fluent or proficient in eight languages. International living has taught me that we achieve what we need or want most quickly if we can speak to the heart of the people of the host country and that is achieved by speaking their language and living in their country on their terms. Travel experiences are greatly enhanced if the local language is at least spoken part of the time, and ordinary people are often the best teachers. I have lived in seven countries and traveled in more than twenty-five of them.
I love music and have been playing guitar since 2008, using the instrument as a means of inspiration for music's own sake, to further my knowledge of the languages I know well or am improving, and also to diversify the learning experience of my students. The guitar can be used as a tool not only in English, ESL or foreign language lessons, but even in Mathematics to memorize timetables, or in Science or History lessons to integrate the knowledge of key information and concepts.
I am artistically inclined and have skills in drawing, painting and sculpting. I make my own pigments from rocks and minerals that I forage in nature walks, or that I purchase from many parts of the world. I love art history (as I love all history) and am an avid museum visitor, putting my critical skills, knowledge from books and documentaries, past and present teachers, and other influences, to work in these visits.
