My contract involved a project which aimed to migrate the existing core banking to Temenos Transact.

I was part of an agile squad where my role as a Business Analyst (within the Business Change Management programme) was to offer ongoing management of new Corporate loan facilities and underlying drawdown products:

  • gather business requirements from business lines and offer recommendations
  • analyze the impact of implementing the requested changes in the bank's applications, as well as any third party applications
  • estimate analysis effort
  • produce functional and non-functional specifications based on the identified business requirements by creating Epics and User Stories in Jira, together with documentation in Confluence, for APIs to be developed by the dev team
  • participate in design architecture discussions
  • offer support and clarifications to dev team with regards to any queries
  • offer support to testing team to identify testing scenarios and UAT criteria
  • keep the documentation up-to-date throughout the project
  • offer post-implementation support for any errors or issues that may occur because of the new changes
  • work with a high standard within agreed timescales
  • undertake any other tasks or duties that are reasonable and requested by the supervisor or a member of the management team

My contract involved a project which aimed to deliver an SME Lending digital origination solution for one of the local Romanian banks.

I was part of an agile squad where my role as a Business System Analyst was to:

  • identify source systems / endpoints holding the data to be mapped for new and existing REST API payloads
  • analyze the impact of implementing the requested changes in the bank's applications, as well as any third party applications
  • estimate analysis effort
  • produce functional and non-functional specifications for new and existing APIs by documenting in Confluence:

- BPMN diagram in Camunda, where applicable (such as customer journeys)

- sequence diagrams with all the endpoints involved and error handling scenarios

- mapping logic for the data part of the APIs payload

  • create Epics and User Stories in Jira
  • participate in design architecture discussions
  • offer support and clarifications to dev team with regards to any queries
  • offer support to testing team to identify testing scenarios and UAT criteria
