Read and interpreted blueprints, diagrams and other technical drawings to determine best installation methods.

After having concluded a course for Marine Pipefitter, organized by the company VARD Tulcea, i was hired by the same company and directed to the section of the Confection Pipefitting of the shipyard.

In this compartment i was assigned to a working table in which, with the assistance of an unqualified helper, my task was to assembly a specific pipefitting installation on carbon steel by following a isometric diagram, and by using specific tools such as grinder, MIG-MAG welding machine,square, meter, handle plasma tourch and specific materials such as straight pipe sections, bended pipe sections, elbows, flanges, sleeves,reductions, fittings, pipe tee fittings.

Quite often, during the year part of my department, including myself, were assigned to the pipe installation department for several months. During these periods our task were to select the pipes had been assigned to us with the purpose of transporting them on the section of the ship and, by reading the isometric diagram of each installation, install them according to the coordinates provided by the drawings.

In this company I was assigned to a team of several workers (between 6 - 10) which had the task to clean the reactors of the refineries by taking out, with a specific machine called Industrial Vacuum cleaner, from inside the reactors the materials such as ceramic spheres and catalyst and to clean it. The procedure ended with the filling the reactor with ceramic spheres and catalyst in a specific order and with the testing of the functionality of the reactor.

The job was very demanding physically and quite dangerous for this purpose we had to use gas detector, and specifically to the inside of the reactor an environmental suit with oxygen supply used for protection from the harsh environment of the place.

In this company I was assigned with a colleague. Our task in this company operating in the field of marine carpentry was to straighten the metallic walls and floors of the ship, to install specific supporting material for the resistance of the sections and walls of the ship. To fulfill the requirements of our task we had to use tools such as grinder, MIG-MAG welding machine or Shielded Metal Arc Welding machine, oxyacetylene cutting torch, meters, spirit level, squares.

In this company I was assigned to the maintenance department with 2 intern colleagues in the same position. I was instructed for a month by a senior colleague to get the knowledge and skills to repair and clean the self-storage machines,counting devices.
